Products (A-Z)

Baby Bibs

Are WeeSprout baby bibs 100% silicone?

Our silicone baby bibs are 100% food grade silicone. That means no fillers and no potentially harmful plastics!

Do your bibs have a chemical smell or hold onto odors?

Silicone is naturally odor-resistant, so our bibs shouldn’t pick up or hold onto food or chemical smells if properly taken care of. However, if silicone is left to soak in water for too long, it can retain the smell of food or soap. If this happens, simply boil the bibs for 15 minutes to disinfect and rid the bib of odors.

Will the WeeSprout bib fit my child?

WeeSprout bibs are designed to grow with your child! Adjustable buttons allow you to change the size of the neck opening to fit your child as they grow. The bib is 6 inches from the neckline to the bottom of the bib. The neck hole can fit up to 11" in diameter.

Baby Car Seat Cover

How do I clean my carseat cover?

Your baby carseat cover can be washed as often as needed. Machine wash on cold with like colors and tumble dry on low heat. To prolong the life of your cover, hang to dry.

What is it made of?

Our baby carseat cover is made from Lenzing Modal fabric. Lenzing modal fibers are created from sustainably-sourced natural raw wood material using environmentally sustainable processes. Lenzing Modal fibers are highly flexible and extra soft. It’s also thinner and more breathable than ordinary fabric, so your baby stays cool and comfy.

Bamboo Dishware

What are the dimensions and capacity?

Our 10 oz bowls are 2” deep and 5” in diameter. Our 15 oz bowls are 2” deep and 6” in diameter.

Our 10 oz bamboo cups are 4” deep and 3” in diameter.

Our bamboo plates are 1” deep and 8” in diameter.

Are WeeSprout bamboo products safe for my child?

Our non-toxic bamboo dishes are BPA, phthalate, and PVC-free. All of our products undergo strict quality control testing and are FDA and LFGB-approved.

Are they compostable?

Our bamboo products are made from high quality, natural bamboo with a melamine finish. They are 100% compostable. However, they do take more time than raw bamboo to break down. We recommend using an industrial compost drop off rather than your personal compost bin.

Do WeeSprout dishes contain melamine?

Our bamboo dishware is made with natural bamboo fibers molded with a binding resin that makes them dishwasher safe. The resin has a low amount of food-safe, FDA-approved melamine. Our bamboo dishes are BPA, phthalate, and PVC-free.

All of our products undergo strict quality control testing and pass LFGB and FDA standards, which include testing to see if any dangerous particles leach into food at different temperatures and over different lengths of time.

How do I prevent my dishware from cracking?

High temperatures can cause bamboo to crack or break over time. We recommend washing your bamboo on the top rack and not microwaving your dishes.

What are the dishes colored with?

A food safe and FDA-approved colorant powder is added to the raw material during the production process.

Are they microwave safe?

We don’t recommend using our bamboo dishes in the microwave. Like all dishwasher safe bamboo products, they contain an FDA-approved binding resin called melamine. This resin makes our bamboo dishware dishwasher safe. Heating your bowls in the microwave can also cause cracking and uneven heat distribution. For this reason, we do not recommend heating our bamboo products in the microwave.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes! Unlike most bamboo dishware, all of our bamboo dishes are dishwasher safe.

What material are the baby food storage containers made of?

Yes! Each container can hold either one frozen cube or two thawed cubes.

Can these be boiled to sanitize them?

Are they dishwasher safe?

Our plastic storage containers are 100% leakproof. The lid has a threaded design that creates a tight seal to contain liquids.

How do I warm food in my containers?

We do not recommend microwaving our plastic jars. Instead, we recommend placing your jars in warm water to thaw the contents.

What type of plastic is used to make these containers?

Our containers are made with high quality polypropylene plastic (type #5) and do not contain BPA, PVC, lead, phthalates, or any other toxic materials.

Lenzing Modal fibers are created from sustainably sourced natural raw wood material using environmentally responsible processes. The fibers are certified as biodegradable and can fully revert back to nature.

How do I carry my baby in the baby wrap carrier?

The WeeSprout carrier is designed for face-to-face carrying. This is best for your baby's joints and spine and promotes bonding between you and your baby. The baby wrap carrier was not designed for forward-facing carrying or wearing your baby on your back, which could increase the risk of falling.

What is the maximum weight limit?

The WeeSprout baby wrap carrier can be used for babies up to 25 pounds.

What are the dimensions of the baby wrap carrier?

Our one-size-fits-all baby wrap carrier is 17 feet long and will stretch with wear. The width at the middle of the wrap is 23”. The width at the ends of the wrap is 9”.

What is the benefit of babywearing?

Babywearing promotes healthy growth and bonding with your baby. Not only does it provide comfort and security, it promotes cognitive and social development, prevents flat head, fights colic, reduces crying, promotes better sleep, and stabilizes heart rate and body temperature. And it’s been proven to reduce postpartum depression.

Wearing your baby is also a convenient and simple way to have hands-free mobility and provides an easy and comfortable way to nurse. That means you can bond with your baby while you work, shop, walk, and run errands.

Is it safe?

Attached is a PDF of the safety tag on our wrap. It is important to make sure your baby's airway is always unobstructed. When used properly, the wrap is not only safe but also comforting to your baby and bonding for you both!

What material is it made of?

LENZING™ Modal is created from sustainably sourced natural raw wood material using environmentally responsible processes. The fibers are certified as biodegradable and can fully revert back to nature. It’s highly flexible and extra soft, so you and your baby stay comfy! And it’s naturally thinner and more breathable than other fabrics, which means your baby never overheats.

How do I wash my baby wrap?

Your baby wrap becomes softer with each wash and stays like new, use after use! Here are some washing and drying tips:

Wash on delicate cold cycle

Tumble dry low

Avoid washing with clothing that has zippers, buttons, or snaps that could damage the fabric

How do I tie my baby wrap?

There are three ways to use your baby wrap. Always start with the "traditional tie" method. Then you can use either the "basic carry" or the "newborn carry" method. Both are appropriate for babies between 8 and 25 pounds.

Avoid going immediately from the freezer to very hot water

Do not microwave cool jars except on a low setting

Our jars are made with soda lime glass while the lids are made with 100% PP plastic, which is high quality plastic manufactured without BPA, phthalates, or PVC.

Are these jars leakproof?

Bento Boxes

How do I clean rust off my bento box?

If your stainless steel products develop rust, use one of these easy methods to remove it!

1) Make a baking soda paste (with water or lemon juice) and rub it in the rust spot, then wipe with a damp cloth.

2) Submerge the container in vinegar for 5 minutes, then rinse and wipe the area with a cloth.

How do I remove odors?

If your bento box has retained an odor from food stored inside, we recommend using the method below:

1) Mix equal parts baking soda and water to create a paste.

2) Rub the paste onto the container and let it dry.

3) Dip a soft cloth in warm water and wipe away the paste. (For stronger odors, dip a soft cloth in white vinegar and wipe away the paste, then dip a soft cloth in warm water and wipe away the vinegar.)

4) Dry your bento box with a cloth to prevent water spotting.

How do I remove the lid if it gets stuck?

If your lid gets stuck, put a few drops of vegetable oil on a paper towel and "season" the lip of the container and the inner lip of the lid. This will make it much easier to open, even after you wash the container!

Is my bento box dishwasher safe?

Your stainless steel bento box is top rack dishwasher safe. To avoid rust, let your bento box fully dry before storing.

What type of stainless steel are the bento boxes made with?

Our stainless steel bento box is 18/8 and 304 grade stainless steel.

Food Pouches

How many uses should I expect to get out of my reusable food pouches?

Your food pouches are made with high quality materials and are designed to last use after use with proper care. We’re so confident our food pouches will stand the test of time that we have a one year money back guarantee.

What can I fill my pouch with?

Our pouches hold semi-solid foods like baby food, purees, yogurt, oatmeal, smoothies, and applesauce. Liquids won’t leak from the bottom of the pouches, but the spouts are designed for semi-solids rather than liquids. Some solid foods will work if they are small enough, such as rice and quinoa.

What material are the reusable food pouches made of?

Our food pouches are made up of three layers of high quality FDA-approved plastic: PE, PET, and PA.

Does the zipper stay closed?

The wide mouth and dual-zipper design make our pouches easy to fill and 100% leakproof. The double zipper means little hands won’t open the pouch mid-snack and the zipper will work like new, use after use!

Are they freezer safe?

Our reusable food pouches are freezer safe! They’re ideal for storing baby food, purees, yogurt, and more in the freezer so you always have a snack ready to go when you’re ready to go!

Can I use them with warm food?

Yes, they’re perfect for warm foods like oatmeal, rice, quinoa, and more. We recommend heating the food prior to putting it into the pouch and only carrying lukewarm foods, as food can heat unevenly in the pouch and hot foods can pose a burning hazard for your child.

If my pouches get damaged, are they recyclable?

Yes! Our eco-friendly pouches can be reused over and over again. However, if they are damaged, the pouches and the packaging can be recycled.

Can I use a bottle warmer to warm my food pouches?

Yes, it’s safe to warm your pouches in a bottle warmer. However, compatibility depends on the size of the pouch and the size of the bottle warmer.

How long will food stay fresh in my food pouches?

Baby food containing poultry, fish, meat, or eggs should stay fresh in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Baby food containing only fruits and vegetables should stay fresh in the refrigerator for 2 days. You can freeze all baby food for 1 to 2 months, and baby food with only fruits and vegetables for 6 months.

Are my food pouches microwave safe?

We do not recommend heating your food pouches in the microwave as the contents can heat unevenly, which can be dangerous for your child. Instead, we recommend thawing the contents in a bowl of hot water.

Will frozen cubes from the WeeSprout Freezer Tray fit in my food pouches?

Our small baby food freezer tray was designed so that the frozen cubes fit in WeeSprout Food Pouches. The 3.4 oz and 5 oz pouches hold two frozen cubes, and the 7oz pouches hold 3 frozen cubes.

Are my pouches dishwasher safe?

Yes, they are top rack dishwasher safe.

Are these pouches safe for my child?

Yes! Our pouches are BPA, PVC, lead and phthalate-free!

Do the pouches work with the Infantino Squeeze Station?

Our pouches do work with the Infantino squeeze station. The spouts are a tiny bit longer than the Infantino spouts, which means you’ll need to angle the spout a bit before you slide it onto the rail. Because our pouches are larger and longer, it’s best to put them on the outside rails (rather than the middle rail). Slightly bend the pouch toward the middle so the pouches can slide on. Although they do work with the station, we find it’s easier to fill our pouches with a funnel or a spoon.

How do I fill my pouches?

Make sure the cap is secure then open the zipper at the bottom of the pouch. Pour or spoon your food into your pouch. Some customers prefer to use a funnel as a third option. Tapping the lid on the counter as you fill your pouch helps move the contents toward the cap. We recommend filling your pouch about 3/4 full to avoid an overflow when sealing the zipper.

How do I clean my pouches?

Rinse your pouches and throw them in the dishwasher. Place each pouch over one or more prongs to keep it open during the wash cycle.

If you’re in a hurry, you can clean your pouches with a bottle brush and warm soapy water and air dry on a rack or place the cap in the zipper opening to keep it open while it dries.

How do I dry the pouches?

Air dry on a rack or place the cap in the zipper opening to keep it open while it dries.

How do I clean dried puree out of my pouches?

If puree dries out and gets stuck on your pouches, leave them to soak them in warm soapy water. Eventually the puree should rinse out easily.

Can I use the pouches for juice or liquid?

Our pouches are ideal for purees, baby food, applesauce, smoothies, oatmeal, nut butters, and similar foods with a semi-solid consistency. We do not recommend using your pouches for liquids, as they can leak from the pouch.

Can the pouches stand up on their own?

Our pouches are designed for ease of cleaning and filling, with the spout on one end and the opening on the other end. Because of this, they do not stand on their own.

Can I use a marker to label my pouches?

You can use a Vis-a-vis wet erase marker on the pouches if you would like to label the contents or a date. The marker washes off with water.

What type of plastic is used for the pouches?

Our pouches are made with three layers of plastic: PE, PET and PA. Each layer adds a specific function, but all three plastics are FDA-approved and safe for food.

Are the pouches leakproof?

Yes, they are 100% leakproof! We recommend using your pouches with semi-solids rather than liquids as liquids can flow out of the open spout when the pouch is picked up, but they are completely leakproof when fully closed.

Where are your pouches manufactured?

All of our products are designed in Memphis, TN. The pouches are manufactured in China. We have personally visited our manufacturing partners and we have third party inspections done before each shipment from China to verify the quality of the pouches.

Can I boil my glass cups to sterilize them?

How do I wash them?

The easiest way to wash your cups, straws, and lids is on the top rack of the dishwasher. You can remove the silicone sleeves for a more thorough wash, but this is not necessary! We recommend using the included straw cleaner to thoroughly clean your straws.

Will the cups crack from heat or cold?

Do they pass the pinch test?

Our silicone is 100% FDA approved food grade silicone. This means that in all of our certifications (FDA and CPSC) the silicone is labeled and verified to be 100% silicone.

Both LFGB (tested by European standards) and FDA silicones can fail the pinch test due to curing time, which determines how hard or soft the plate composition is. Pinching white does not determine use of fillers, so it's better to check a company's ingredients or certification documents in order to make a decision that works best for your family. If you are interested in seeing our certifications, please let us know.

Weighted Blanket

What are the benefits of weighted blankets?

Weighted blankets can be used during daytime activities and rest time at night. Our blankets simulate the feeling of a gentle hug and provide a sense of calm for your child. For many people, weighted blankets reduce anxiety and promote a deeper sleep.

How do I know what size blanket to buy for my child?

WeeSprout Weighted Blankets are available in 5 lb, 7 lb, and 10 lb weights. We recommend choosing a weighted blanket that is approximately 10-12% of your child's body weight, plus 1 pound. If the calculated weight falls equally between two different blanket weights, we recommend choosing the lighter weighted blanket. A weighted blanket should always fit the child, not the bed. It should not hang over the edge of the bed to prevent the blanket from falling off.

5 pound blanket: 40-70 pound person

7 pound blanket: 60-90 pound person

10 pound blanket: 90-120 pound person

What materials are WeeSprout weighted blankets made of?

WeeSprout weighted blankets are made with 100% Organic Cotton, which means your child stays cool and comfortable at night and during the day. The blanket contains non-toxic, lead-free, and hypoallergenic glass microbeads. The microbeads are the texture of sand, which means our blankets are quieter and more comfy than blankets with larger plastic pellet filling.

What prevents the glass beads from leaking out or moving around in the blanket?

4” quilted pockets keep the weight distributed evenly while reinforced stitching prevents the filling from leaking out of the blanket or into the other quilted pockets.

Is my weighted blanket machine washable?

Our weighted blankets are hand wash or dry clean only. If handwashing, use cold water and mild detergent, rinse well, then hang or lay flat to dry. We recommend using a WeeSprout weighted blanket duvet cover for a quick and easy way to keep your weighted blanket clean!
